ABSTRACT
The scheme of classification of schizophrenia described by Professor Karl Leonhard is briefly outlined. The 107 cases originally classified according to Kleist's scheme are reclassified according to Leonhard's scheme. An additional 4 cases excluded from the original series are also classified. In the reclassification the author was helped by Dr. Christian Astrup who saw 103 of the cases jointly with the author. It is concluded that Leonhard's scheme is more precise and easier to use than that of Kleist.
