ABSTRACT
Summary and Conclusions: A double-blind drug study was conducted with eight female schizophrenics of intermediate length hospitalization. Thorazine (Largactil), Compazine (Stemetil), Stelazine and an inert placebo were used in a latin square design. None of the drugs had an appreciably different effect on psychotic ideation, but Compazine and Stelazine were definitely superior in the management of overall psychopathology as measured by the Sands-Malamud Scale.
