ABSTRACT

A chromatographic study was made of the amino acids present in the urine and C.S.F. of forty mental defectives aged from 18 months to 21 years, most being in middle or late childhood. Some of the patients showed a moderate degree of aminoaciduria and these patients tended also to have the highest numbers of amino acids in the C.S.F. chromatograms.
