A controlled drug trial is reported comparing trifluoperazine and chlorpromazine. Results show that both of these drugs are significantly effective in the control of hyperactivity and behavioural abnormalities in severely subnormal children. Trifluoperazine showed a slight superiority over chlorpromazine, but the difference was not statistically significant.
