The effect of Dianabol combined with standard methods of treatment on 10 chronic schizophrenics was tried.

There was no clinical improvement physically or mentally, apart from one case who improved six months after the completion of the trial.

The effects of Dianabol on pituitary adrenal function (as tested by metopirone) were the same as in normal subjects.
