A pilot study of a new sedative (Wy 3498) was carried out on a chronically anxious patient: assessment was by Personal Questionnaire. The results suggest that the drug is effective with anxiety but not with depressive or obsessional symptoms: it takes effect rapidly: the optimum dosage is higher than 10 mg.; there are no side-effects.
