The effects of once daily pimozide (9 mg.) and fluphenazine (15 mg.) were compared in 30 cases of chronic schizophrenia and were found to be similar. Parkinsonian symptoms were less marked in degree and frequency in the patients taking pimozide. Laboratory investigations showed no changes outside the normal range.
