Further evidence is offered for the validity of depressive classes previously delineated by information measure taxonomy. The effect of electro-convulsive therapy on responses to the depression questionnaire indicates that responses to "endogenous' items are the most likely to change significantly after treatment. This supports the validity of regarding Class B as representing this depressive syndrome.
