The article, taking us closer and closer to the neurobiological origin of schizophrenia, is indeed very interesting.

The thought that instinctively comes to mind is about the possibilitly to go even deeper to examine the subcortical structures, viz. the amigdala, caudate, putamen, thalamus and their connections, and look for disconnectivity. Further more, it also occurs to the mind, if the different sets of symptom profiles in Schizophrenia would have specific patterns of abnormalities in the neuronal network, which could be identified in a similar manner.

Finally, could we estimate as to how soon would these findings be applicable at the clinical level.
