The Use of Lithium Salts in Affective Disorders
G. P. HARTIGAN

Abstract

Forty-five cases of affective disorder have been treated over a long period by lithium salts. Encouraging clinical results have been obtained in cases of recurrent depression as well as in manic-depressive and manic cases. Apart from the clinical usefulness of the drug the opportunity of further electrolyte research, using lithium as a guide, recommends itself.
